If you’re looking for a great flashlight, check out the Sunwayman V11R U2 Max 500 Lumen tactical LED Flashlight. It’s a compact flashlight that comes with its own holster, and uses either a standard AA battery, with the extension that is included, or a CR123 battery. Its maximum output is 500 Lumens, which makes it bright enough to use for most all tasks.
The Sunwayman is also waterproof to a depth of two meters, which makes it a perfect addition to light hiking and camping gear or as an emergency flashlight. If you happen to drop it into shallow water, no harm will come to it. Moreover, it uses what’s known as fully variable magnetic control—which is a fancy way of saying that the beam is adjustable while remaining consistent in chosen brightness and coverage. Overall, this is a great, affordable LED flashlight
Pros and Cons of the Sunwayman V11R U2 Max 500 Lumen tactical LED Flashlight
- Good pocket size
- Variable brightness for variable tasks
- At its brightest setting, gives good light even for close work
- Doesn’t turn on accidentally when carried in a pocket
- Extender and AA battery capability means an easier battery replacement
- Watertight, just in case you drop it during use
- Good for use in all weather conditions
What Could Be Better:
- I would have liked an “off” setting on the magnetic adjuster ring
- The alternate battery that provides more power than a AA is a bit hard to find (I recommend buying them in packs off Amazon.)
- Possible strobe function
I really like my Sunwayman tactical LED Flashlight. This light goes everywhere with me and I keep another as a backup for fusebox issues or power outages in the cabin. Because I love to go camping, it’s important to have a reliable, compact, lightweight LED Flashlight that I can take with me. I love that this is such an affordable LED flashlight. In the past, I have had several, including another brand that became a part of the tire changing kit in my car, because it was much heavier and bulkier than the Sunwayman.
I take it camping all the time, and when I am out walking my dog. The brightest setting is actually perfect for walking at night in my neighborhood, which has very few street lamps. I feel pretty safe and visible to passing cars whenever I use it. However, it’s dimmest setting is great for not spoiling my night vision if I need to go to the bathroom or the kitchen in the middle of the night. No stubbed toes here!
I really do recommend the Sunwayman V11R U2 Max 500 Lumen tactical LED Flashlight as an addition to your toolset—whether on the go, on a nightly walk with a pet, or simply as a part of your home maintenance kit. It’s compact, easy to dim and brighten, can be used with two different battery types, and can go everywhere you go. This affordable LED flashlight is lightweight, but incredibly durable. I’m sure you’ll find it sheds a positive light all its own.
